The Greece Golden Visa is an excellent program to obtain a quick European residency. As a residency by investment program, the Greece Golden Visa Program allows non-EU citizens to obtain Greek Residency by investing in real estate or other assets in Greece. You can include your family in the residency program as well. The Greek Golden Visa allows you to live in Greece and travel across the Schengen region, without a visa. High levels of safety and security, excellent education, and a robust health care are all benefits of obtaining a Greece Golden Visa. Boasting a geographically strategic location, the country is ideal for living, and expanding businesses .Effective August 1 2023, the program has undergone changes as per the Golden Visa Law, Article 91. The investment has increased to Euro 500,000 in North, Central & South sectors of Athens, and Thessaloniki ,Mykonos, and Santorini, and corresponds to one property only. In all other regions, it remains Euro 250,000 – one or multiple properties.

In April 2013, Greece introduced Law 4146/ 2013 which offers a renewable five-year Greek residency visa to foreign nationals who invest at least EUR 250,000 in residential real estate that is physically located in Greece. A residence permit for five (5) years is issued and can be renewed indefinitely (for a 5-year period each time), provided that the real estate property is still owned by the applicant. However, the residence permits do not allow the right to employment of any type.
