Saint Lucia Removes Visa Requirement for Chinese, Keeps it for Venezuelans

Chinese citizens will henceforth be able to travel to Saint Lucia without first obtaining a visa, while Venezuelans will have to wait.

In a circular dated July 5th, the Ministry of External Affairs has announced “the immediate removal of visa requirements for Chinese nationals seeking to enter Saint Lucia, whether to stay or transit”.

Unfortunately, this is not a bilateral visa-waiver; Saint Lucian citizens will still need a visa to visit China.

The same missive, which related to Conclusion 292 of 2018, further stated that the visa-requirement for Venezuelan citizens will remain in place for now.
