Pakistan and Saint Lucia establish diplomatic relations

On May 28th, 2024, Pakistan and Saint Lucia formalised diplomatic relations in a ceremony at the Pakistan Mission to the UN in New York.



Ambassador Menissa Rambally, Saint Lucia’s permanent representative to the UN, and his counterpart from Pakistan, Ambassador Munir Akram, signed a joint communiqué formalizing the diplomatic ties between the two countries, on behalf of their governments. Both envoys expressed their optimism for mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, commerce, political affairs, and tourism, highlighting their shared love for cricket. This marks a significant step in expanding bilateral ties.
